Kneel is a Christian prayer app designed to help users build a daily rhythm of prayer, reflection, and devotional consistency.

By using Kneel, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Send reminders if you enable notifications.

- Protect the app from misuse and maintain app reliability.
4. Third-Party Services
Kneel uses trusted third-party services to operate essential app functionality.
Firebase
We use Firebase Authentication and Firebase Firestore to create an anonymous user profile, store app progress, save onboarding-related answers, and record lightweight app usage events.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, determine whether you have premium access, process purchase-related status, and restore purchases.
Apple App Store
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store payment system. Kneel does not receive or store your full payment card details.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple through your App Store account. RevenueCat helps us verify whether your subscription is active so the app can unlock the appropriate features.
We may store purchase-related status, such as whether a purchase was attempted, cancelled, failed, restored, or successfully activated. This helps us debug subscription issues and improve the purchase experience.
6. Notifications
Kneel may ask for permission to send daily prayer reminders. Notifications are optional. You can enable, disable, or change notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
If you choose a reminder time, that preference may be stored locally on your device and may also be used to schedule your daily reminder.
7. Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information processed through Kneel. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Some data is stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage mechanisms. Some app usage, onboarding, and subscription-related data may be stored using Firebase and RevenueCat.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain your progress, support subscriptions, improve the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve technical issues.
If you reset your progress inside the app, some locally stored prayer progress may be removed from your device. Server-side analytics, subscription records, or technical logs may remain where needed for reliability, fraud prevention, legal, or business purposes.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information.
You can contact us to request deletion or review of data associated with your app usage. Because Kneel uses anonymous authentication, we may need information from your app instance or device context to locate the relevant anonymous account.
You can also:
- Disable notifications in your device settings.
- Cancel or manage subscriptions through your Apple App Store account.
- Use the reset progress option inside the app to clear certain local progress data.
- Stop using the app and delete it from your device.
10. Children’s Privacy
Kneel is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. International Users
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using Kneel, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in locations where our service providers operate.
12. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your prayer data or onboarding answers for third-party advertising.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kneel after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
